Fairytales was an EP, released on cassette only, in 1992 on Act III Records. The tape is a duet featuring Donna Orzonno, a fellow actor/singer from Tryon, NC. The album was recorded by Steve McGowan at Cafe Pleasurematic Studio in Greenville, SC in a single evening. It was my very first recording. I played an old acoustic guitar I had bought from my friend Julie Moss, and recorded overdubs. The songs were all my own, including "Fire On the Water;" "Fairytales; "Love Me One More Night"; "I'm Leavin;" and "Hannah's Song."
Both "Love Me One More Night" and "I'm Leavin" were written specifically for Donna to sing.
"Hannah's Song" was written about my four-year old step daughter Hannah Jane Greene. It was retooled for my first solo CD "Happy to Be Here." (As was "Fairytales")
The EP is long out of print. Below is a photo from the session to create the album cover. Unfortunately, the company we hired to create the packaging botched the cover. I mean, it's cute, but the pixil effect on the photo makes it impossible to even tell what Hannah looks like. Live and learn. -Buffalo
